About John
Finance professional with Undergraduate degree in Economics from Colgate University, currently in last semester of part-time MBA at NYU Stern School of Business. Currently making a career shift and changing jobs within finance, seeking to leverage my analytical skills in mathematics and finance in the interim and help students learn seemingly complex mathematical/financial concepts in the easiest ways possible!!!

Open to any methodologies that students personally prefer or excel at learning from the most, but generally speaking lessons take the following format:
1. Text Overview: students read assigned literature in advance of first meeting and/or during first meeting
2. Text Understanding: brief discussion on student's understanding of the text and review of basic concepts
3. Practice Problems: THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE!!! Allow students some time to do practice problems individually and review together upon completion
4. Concepts Review: discuss general concepts of the section with particular attention on areas of difficulty
5. Final Notes: create final notes/study guide from section for later reference on that section
