About Margaret

I’m Maggie!
I am a deeply passionate yoga instructor dedicated to the art of mindful movement and healing. I received my RYT-200 in March 2024, and in my first year of teaching, I led over 200 hours of classes. That experience has only deepened my love for sharing this practice with others.

Yoga has been a personal lifesaver for me—a vital tool in managing my own C-PTSD symptoms and a practice I will always return to. It has helped me feel stronger, more confident, and more joyful. My mission is to impart that same sense of empowerment and peace to every one of my students. Because of my personal journey, I am particularly passionate about trauma-informed yoga, and I prioritize continuing education in this field to ensure my students always feel safe and supported on their mats.

My Background
Originally from California, I relocated to North Carolina in 2023 and have recently been building my life and practice here in Charlotte. I’ve fallen in love with the community here and am excited to grow alongside it. When I am not on the mat or sharing yoga, you can usually find me hanging out with my dog, Luka!

I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey toward wellness and inner calm.

Having taught over 200 classes, I am well-versed in all different types of yoga and how to modify up or down for different bodies, strengths, and levels.

My Approach & Teaching Method:
As a trauma-informed yoga instructor, my goal is to help you reconnect with your body in a way that feels safe, empowering, and entirely judgment-free. I believe yoga is for every body, and I specialize in creating a safe space where you can explore movement without the pressure of a traditional studio environment. My teaching style blends the "science" of nervous system regulation with the "soul" of mindful movement.

What a Typical Lesson Plan Looks Like:
Every session is customized to your energy levels and goals for that day, but we generally follow this flow-

Arrival & Grounding: We begin with intentional breathwork to settle the mind and transition away from the stress of the day.

Mindful Movement: Depending on your preference, we will either move through a Power Vinyasa flow to build strength and heat, or a slow-paced Yin/Deep Stretch session to target flexibility and release tension.

Integration & Rest: We always conclude with a guided relaxation (Savasana) to ensure you leave the mat feeling regulated and refreshed.
