About Edlyn
My relationship with music wasn't love at first sight. Growing up, it often felt like a chore—pushed by my parents, with strict teachers and challenging, sometimes boring, exam pieces. I know firsthand how that can make you want to avoid a lesson entirely. But then came the school band. It was there, that I discovered the true joy of playing music. I found myself naturally helping other band members with tricky parts, and I discovered something surprising: I was incredibly patient. I loved watching a friend's face light up when a challenging passage finally clicked. That feeling of helping someone overcome a struggle was far more rewarding than any exam score. This is why I teach today. My goal is to create the kind of musical experience I wish I had—one that is patient, encouraging, and centered on your own goals and enjoyment. I believe that music should be a source of joy, not stress. I'm here to help you find that joy, whether it's by mastering your favorite song or just enjoying the process of learning.
