About Moira

I am an artist based in the Philippines who mainly focuses on illustration; but also has professional experience in advertising, e-commerce design and digital marketing since 2020.

I am a graduate of the University Philippines Diliman, and has a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts majoring in Visual Communication.

I am a classical painting and horror enthusiast, and am deeply inspired by the exploration of humanity through symbolism, imagery stemmed from fear and what is used to rationalize the abstract. I always strive to tell stories with their art, and I aim to inspire the same in aspiring artists.

About the lesson

My lessons are for mid-level digital illustration, who already have some established skillsets in art fundamentals. Realism isn't the goal of my teaching, but to nourish and improve the work you already have.

I teach through video call and screen sharing, often showing either Procreate or Clip Studio Paint. I use basic brushes first before going into more textured work.

I am very hands on in demonstrating my process first, as it gives students an idea of HOW it works before they can attempt their own. From there, we work together until they figure it out.

The typical lesson plan is:
- Composition
- Value Mapping
- Gradient Maps and Color Planning
- Layer Organization
- Rendering Processes
- Post-process filtering
