About Sankavi
Hi, I’m a current A-Level student at Finham Park School, studying Biology, Chemistry, and Business. At GCSE, I achieved a 7-7 in Combined Science and a 6 in Maths. I have a strong passion for science and plan to study Biomedical Engineering at university, combining my interest in biology, chemistry, and technology to help solve real-world medical challenges. I decided to start tutoring because I know from experience how overwhelming science can feel at times, and I want to make it more approachable. Having recently taken the same exams, I understand where students often get stuck and how to explain concepts clearly and simply. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing the piano, which has taught me patience, focus, and creativity — qualities I also bring to my teaching. My goal is to create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs, helping them gain both confidence and results in science. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to match each individual’s needs, learning style, and goals. Whether you’re aiming for top grades or working to boost your confidence in science, I focus on creating a clear, step-by-step learning journey that makes even tricky topics feel manageable. I believe that understanding is far more powerful than memorising. In my lessons, I use relatable examples, visual aids, and exam-style questions to make concepts stick. I also make sure we revisit key ideas regularly, so knowledge becomes second nature. Because I’m currently studying Biology and Chemistry at A-Level, I remember exactly what it’s like to be in your position — the parts that are confusing, the common mistakes, and the best ways to prepare for exams. My approach is friendly, patient, and encouraging, helping students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. By the end of our sessions, my students not only improve their grades but also gain the confidence to tackle problems independently, a skill that benefits them far beyond science lessons.
