My teaching style focuses on building confidence, understanding, and strong exam technique. I begin by identifying each student’s strengths and areas for improvement, then tailor the lessons to their individual needs. I use a mixture of explanation, worked examples, active questioning, and guided practice to ensure students fully understand each topic rather than just memorising methods. I also regularly revisit past content to reinforce knowledge and improve long-term retention. Lessons typically last one hour, although longer sessions can be arranged if needed. During each lesson, I start with a quick recap, work through the main topic step-by-step, and finish with exam-style questions so students can apply what they’ve learned in a real context. I hold a First Class Honours BSc in Physics and have over a year of tutoring experience, helping students improve both their grades and their confidence in Maths and Science. I achieved top grades myself at both GCSE and A-level, which allows me to break down the content clearly and share effective revision and exam strategies. My lessons are suitable for GCSE students, typically in Y10/Y11, but I am happy to support anyone studying these courses, whether they need help catching up, strengthening understanding, preparing for exams, or aiming for top grades.
