About Spencer
I’m a UK National living in Sydney. I have always loved sciences and believe they are a field that can unlock a greater understanding of the world given the guidance and effort. I therefore believe it is extremely rewarding to aid someone in the understanding of a new topic or concept and see them have the eureka moment I had so many of during my school experience!

I personally believe the best method for a student to become successful in a subject is through broad and complete understanding of a concept. This is reflected in my teaching style through constantly gauging a students understanding and helping to fill any gaps through encouraged engagement from the student whilst gently aiding any misconceptions. This in turn develops the tools required to actively solve problems without memorising answers and equips to deal with any assessment questions.
Lesson length is kept under 2 hours per session to promote attentiveness.
I am a bachelor of chemistry graduate with first class honours and so am well equipped to tutor in the fields of chemistry and maths for HSC level and below. Lessons in physics and biology are also available for below HSC level.
