About Hariyan
Hi, I’m Hariyan, a First-Class Economics graduate from the University of Nottingham. I achieved an A* in A-level Mathematics and an A in AS Further Mathematics, and I enjoy helping students make sense of challenging topics.
Alongside my studies, I spent several years coaching young people in ice hockey. I learned how to explain skills clearly, adapt to different abilities and encourage people to keep improving. I want to bring that same patient, supportive approach to maths tutoring, helping students feel more confident and capable in their learning.

I tutor mathematics to students aged 10–18, from foundational topics to GCSE and A-level. I first identify what they understand and where they need help, then explain concepts step by step using examples and practice questions. Lessons can focus on building confidence, schoolwork, revision or exam technique.
Lessons are typically 50 minutes, with a quick review, focused practice and a recap. I achieved an A* in A-level Mathematics, an A in AS Further Mathematics and a First-Class Economics degree. I’ve also spent several years coaching young people in ice hockey, adapting explanations to different ages and abilities.
