About Lorna
I earned my PhD in English in 2006 and I'm also a chef who has owned three successful businesses. My first teaching job back in 1999 was teaching conversational English to students living in Japan.
I would say that my teaching style is more on the informal style; however, if you need to speak in a more formal register, of course we can do that.
I have written a couple of books and also published over 30 academic articles. I was a dean of a large university for several years, but my heart has always been in the classroom.

If you need to practice conversational or business English, we will focus on that. After teaching English for so long, I have learned that creating lessons that are fresh and relevant to you is what is most important!
