About Phoebe

I am a recent Geography and Archaeology graduate from the University of Newcastle, having achieved a first-class combined honours degree. My academic journey has given me a strong foundation in both human and physical geography, spatial analysis, and archaeological theory and practice.

During my studies I developed a specialism in remote sensing and geospatial analysis, applying machine learning techniques to satellite imagery as part of my dissertation research, which scored 87 and was recognised as one of the highest in my cohort. My research code is published, reflecting the quality and rigour of my work. Outside of academia I have worked as a coordinator at a music camp for children aged 8 to 16 and gained teaching experience in Kenya, both of which have shaped me into a confident, adaptable and enthusiastic educator.

I am passionate about making Geography and Archaeology accessible and enjoyable for everyone, and I bring that same enthusiasm into every tutoring session. I hold a valid DBS check and am committed to providing a safe, supportive and professional learning environment.

About the lesson

I offer personalised, engaging Geography and Archaeology tutoring tailored to each student's needs, pace, and learning style. As a dyslexic learner myself, I understand that everyone processes information differently, so I adapt my teaching to suit you, not the other way around.

Lesson length and structure are fully flexible and built around the individual, whether that means a shorter focused session for a younger learner or a longer, more in-depth one for exam preparation. Every lesson comes with a pre-planned structure so that time is used effectively and students always leave having made clear progress.

I hold a first-class combined honours degree in Geography and Archaeology, with my dissertation scoring 87, recognised as one of the highest in my cohort. My research applied machine learning techniques, including Random Forest classification, to satellite imagery analysis.

I have experience working with learners of all ages, from coordinating camps for children aged 8 to 16 to teaching in Kenya, and I hold a valid DBS check. Whether you are building foundations or preparing for exams, I will make sure every session is engaging, structured and worth your time.
