About Ella

My name is Ella, and I am a graduate of a Hispanic Studies degree. I have recently returned from living in Medellín, Colombia, where I was volunteering with a women's rights charity and was able to and immerse myself fully in Latin American language and culture. I am friendly, approachable, compassionate and witty. If you are looking for someone who teaches in a low-pressure environment and keep things fun, then you're in the right place! I’ve worked with learners of different levels and love helping students grow their confidence in speaking, listening, and understanding real-world Spanish. Whether you’re practising for exams, travel, or just want to improve your fluency, I’ll tailor our lessons to your goals and learning style. In my spare time I love to listen to music (of all languages!), play instruments, and write songs. I also love gaming and even sometimes stream on Twitch! I'm committed to creating a space where you feel supported and motivated. I’m excited to meet you and support you on your language journey!

About the lesson

I have professional experience teaching native and non-native English speakers aged 5-18, as well as informal teaching with adults. All ages are welcome! DBS checked. As well as this, I have expertise in linguistics and regional Latin American culture, having lived in both Mexico and Colombia. I am extremely flexible and will adapt my lessons to fit around you, your goals, and your timeframe. Typically a lesson would last 1 hour, but I am happy to adjust to a time that suits you.
