About Kate
I am a guitar tutor with 15 years of teaching experience, working with students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. I focus on making learning guitar simple, practical, and enjoyable. I believe that each student learns differently, so I design lessons that suit their pace and goals.
My teaching emphasizes building technique, understanding music theory, improvisation, and creative expression. Students can explore classical, rock, jazz, or pop music based on their interests. Over my career, I have successfully taught over 200 students, many of whom have performed in concerts, competitions, and recitals, while others have developed music as a rewarding hobby.
I use structured exercises, interactive lessons, and practical examples to make learning effective and engaging. I also teach sight-reading, rhythm, and composition to help students become confident and well-rounded musicians. My approach is patient, supportive, and motivating, ensuring every student makes steady progress while enjoying the learning journey. Learning guitar with me is a path to building skill, creativity, and a lifelong passion for music.

I teach Guitar using a methodology built on Compassion, Communication, and Supportiveness, creating lessons that are personalized, motivating, and fun. I adapt lessons to the student’s pace, goals, and learning style, ensuring learning is both productive and enjoyable.
Communication is key: I explain techniques clearly, demonstrate step by step, and encourage students to ask questions and actively participate. Being supportive, I provide guidance, constructive feedback, and celebrate milestones, helping students overcome challenges with confidence.
Lessons include exercises, songs, and creative projects, while also integrating music theory, rhythm, and composition. This approach develops technical skills, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong passion for music.
