About Francis

I have always had a huge passion for the study of business, economics, marketing, accounting and all sub sections of business and social science.
These are not just GCSE subjects or degree course names, these are the methods and ideologies we use to run, shape and influence the world we live in.

My passion for these subjects, not only in the classroom but in the real world, has led me to a point of numerous business endeavours, and plans to incorporate multiple businesses and charities in the latter stages of next year.

Throughout my academic career I had an undiagnosed learning difficulty known as ADHD, this diagnosis has helped me develop multiple strategies to really get the most out of my current learnings, revision and executing those learnings. It has meant I understand the barriers to learning to a much greater extent than I have before. Emerging from this, is an understanding of what can accelerate, or slow down, someone's academic or educational progress.

Developing someone's understanding and competence in these areas is hugely rewarding, not only for the opportunities that arise from better performance in exams and essays, but it really is incredible to see someone develop as a student.

About the lesson

A bespoke approach to each student or learner, results in a better outcome not only for the given exam, essay or module etc. but it increases the enjoyment of lessons, which should be a priority when considering teaching methods.

Lesson may include anything from worksheets, conversations and discussions, reviewing homework, classwork, mock exams or literature, answering student questions and even discussions of specific exam or essay writing techniques.

Online tutoring and face-to-face tutoring are both possible, or a combination of both can be arranged if it seems to be the best strategy for you, for example if distance or constant travel is an issue.

Lessons can range from 20 minutes all the way up to two hours, it is all about you. Some younger GCSE students may struggle to focus for more than 30 minutes and that is fine, I am more than happy to deliver short lessons. For the more complex theories and academic literatures for university students, perhaps lessons venturing over 90 minutes are most beneficial.

Not only do I want to help you achieve the best grade possible, or the best application, or the best dissertation, but I also want to help develop you as a business person, social scientist, economist or academic, regardless of what exams you may be sitting.

Details

Cancelations in emergency circumstances are perfectly reasonable and the total amount need not be paid. This is the same for cancellations at least 48 hours before a lesson.
Travel costs will only need to be discussed if the distance travelled or the time taken is significant. for example areas such as Burton Upon Trent or Central Birmingham.
