About Alok
Hello!
My name is Alok. I am a Training Contract holder at Kirkland & Ellis. I also have a First Class Degree from the London School of Economics (LSE) and obtained a Distinction at the LPC.
I have been tutoring for free for 2.5 years and figured why not make this into a part-time job! I love meeting and helping people!
Some of my tutees have gone onto obtain Training Contracts at top law firms in the UK, such as Latham & Watkins.
I am committed to your development and want to see you succeed. I offer all my students a free call to test the water and see if we are a good fit.
I only tutor for 20 hours a week, but am available 24/7 to answer urgent emails and phone calls my tutees may have :)

You will meet me for a free call to help us both familiarise with each other.
We will then, either online or optionally in person (if in Central London), will cover the module course content. We will focus specifically on things you may be struggling with. Ideally, you will email me a list of things you wish to cover in our meeting so that everything covered will be relevant.
For example, if you are struggling with History essay writing, I will email you A* Essays which you can read beforehand. We will then talk through and discuss what you are struggling with or wish to improve, referencing the material I gave you to build a clear understanding about how a good History essay is written. I will then give you exam-level questions which we will answer and talk through together. I will mark your answers and give you feedback.
The typical length of a lesson will range from 50-60 minutes. If it is shorter, there will usually be more work that needs to be done outside the lesson e.g. answering questions I have set, or marking answers you have given.
I obtained an A* in IGCSE History and A Level (PRE-U) History. I obtained a First Class Honours in LLB Law at LSE (in my degree, I did two History modules in which I obtained marks over 70) and a Distinction at the LPC and have a Training Contract at Kirkland & Ellis. I have been tutoring for 2 years.
My History lessons are for students currently studying or thinking about studying the History at GCSE or A Level.
I am particuarly familiar with the following historical niches and can offer countless sample essays to students who choose to learn with me!

Great tutor! i've tried various tutors on multiple tutoring sites before but Alok has definitely been one of the best. He's been very flexible and accomodating with his lesson plans and schedule.
