About Michael
My name is Michael and I graduated from the University of Loughborough with a First Class (1.1) in Mathematics with Economics. I have always been passionate about mathematics and sharing my knowledge with others.
I want to tutor as I am someone who has a passion for helping other people to develop and progress in any way I can.
I plan to help my students to reach the top of their respected class, regardless of their ability. I believe that hard work always triumphs over natural ability/ talent. As long as my student is willing to try their best during my sessions, there is no limit to the progress that can be made.

Having tutored various friends and family of various ages for several years, I have learnt how to adapt to students of all abilities. I have even, on numerous occasions, had to tutor individuals who are in fact older than me. Each student you find will be unique and one must understand that there is no one universal technique that works for everyone. This has allowed me to gain patience, and adapt and tailor my teaching strategy specifically to the student.
During these sessions, I intend to make them as interactive as possible. I want it to be an environment where my students feel comfortable asking as many questions as possible. I will teach the curriculum material in a simplistic way, constantly referring it to real-life scenarios if applicable. Once we have finished trying to create a solid foundation, we can then proceed to attempt to work through questions.
Also being a recent graduate, I believe that I am perfectly suited to tutoring online, as more than half of my university learning was online due to the recent pandemic.
As someone who has a first-class in a Mathematics degree, I am more than comfortable teaching any curriculum. I always ensure that I go over what I am going to be teaching before the lesson, to ensure I am always providing the most efficient lesson to my student. I also expect my student's grades to improve, regardless of how long it takes.
As a young tutor, aged 22, I believe I can also easily relate to my students and build some form of rapport. I like to make my lessons interactive and I like for my students to ask as many questions as possible. I want my students to excel in mathematics and as long as they are willing to learn the sky is the limit!
