About Issy
I am a first-class graduate from Oxford University with an MA in Theatre Directing at a top London drama school. I am passionate about education and I see it as my job the ensure that my students love learning. As a trained theatre director, I am used to working with actors so often tutor in public speaking and can help develop your confidence as well as academic ability.

I have a first-class degree from Oxford University in Theology and Religion, and therefore love tutoring essay based subjects such as History, English Literature, Creative writing and Religious Studies and Philosophy. I have over 350 hours of tutoring experience and teach students from 4yo to 18yo with a variety of different needs and abilities. I pride myself in being friendly and approachable, and I am able to adapt my style of teaching for the individual needs of each student as I believe that there should never be a ‘one size fits all’ approach when it comes to learning. I aim to foster an environment which nurtures the confidence and happiness of students as well as their academic ability, and instil genuine interest and love of the subject in each student I teach. This comes from focusing on the interests each student and allowing them to explore topics they are passionate about alongside the set curriculum.
