About Veronika
I’m Veronika, a dedicated and ambitious tutor with a First-Class degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) from the University of Exeter. My academic background reflects a deep commitment to critical thinking, rigorous analysis, and multidisciplinary learning — all of which I bring into my teaching. I achieved A* grades in A-Level Politics, Economics, and History, along with an A* in my Extended Project Qualification, which explored the impact of populism on democracy in the UK. My approach to tutoring is shaped not only by academic excellence but also by real-world experience. I currently work within the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero as a Policy Advice Intern, where I lead major research projects on consumer protection and energy reform. My responsibilities include producing policy briefings for ministers, attending high-level strategy meetings, and contributing to parliamentary debate preparations — experiences which have further sharpened my ability to communicate clearly, think critically under pressure, and present complex ideas in a structured and accessible way. Beyond government work, I am the Senior Editor of The Witness, a political newspaper where I manage a team of writers, provide editorial feedback, and write on subjects such as international security and decolonisation. I’ve also represented young people at the United Nations as a delegate to the Conference on the Status of Women 2024, where I worked closely with diplomats, NGOs, and advocacy groups to shape policy recommendations on gender equality. These diverse experiences mean I understand how politics and economics function both in theory and in practice — and how to make those subjects engaging and relevant for students. As a tutor, I strive to bring that same clarity and purpose to every lesson. I specialise in helping GCSE and A-Level students (ages 15–18) improve their exam technique, develop confident and coherent essay structures, and deepen their understanding of the curriculum, particularly for AQA and OCR exam boards. I work with students from a range of starting points — some aiming for the top grades, others looking to rebuild confidence in their subjects. Whatever your goals, I offer a structured, warm, and highly personalised teaching style. I combine clear explanations with active questioning, exam-style practice, and regular feedback so that every lesson brings visible progress. Above all, I believe that academic success comes from confidence, clarity, and curiosity — and I’m here to help my students build all three.

As a tutor, my approach is friendly, structured, and highly tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building subject confidence while also sharpening exam technique, where structure, clarity, and argument development are key. Lessons typically last one hour and are centred around the student’s goals, whether that’s mastering content, improving essay writing, or preparing for a specific exam. I use a mixture of active recall, guided analysis, model answers, and targeted feedback to help students make rapid progress. I hold a First-Class degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) from the University of Exeter, and I achieved top grades in Politics, Economics, Maths, and History at A-Level. I currently tutor A-Level and GCSE students. My lessons are ideal for students aged 15–18 who want to improve their understanding, raise their predicted grades, or refine their technique ahead of exams. Whether you're aiming for an A or working to build solid foundations, I’ll meet you where you are and help you get to where you want to be.
