About Natasha

I’m a first year pharmacy student currently studying at Cardiff University. To me, my academic improvement is something I’m proud of as I caught up on the first 1/4 of A level biology and went from a C to consistent A. I also went from a D in my final maths mock, two weeks before my exam, to not only achieving a B but I was only 3 marks off an A. I really enjoy helping out people in their academics as, although sometimes exam stress does have a bad effect on my outcomes, sharing knowledge to help and see people do well is one of my favourite feelings.

About the lesson

I can help GCSE and A level students studying biology, chemistry, and/or maths. I know each student is different so requires different approaches and I’m willing to learn my students to help them excel in their academics. Whether you want to practise exam questions, learn content or both, I will do my best to make sure you leave each lesson knowing something new. • I volunteered as a GCSE science tutor during year 12 when I was Head of Chemistry to help students who really struggled. This was beneficial as it taught me how to be adaptable as we’d tutor groups of students with different strengths and weaknesses so I was constantly aware of when and which students were struggling in certain topics and when they were confident. I also had to help put confidence in the students as they didn’t think they would do well, which could really affect their potential. • I worked as a GCSE maths tutor online, which gave me more experience. I had to figure out what the student struggled on by going through past papers then would plan a lesson based off of the questions they found hard. This boosted my interpersonal skills, time management and organisational skills.
