About Nathaniel

Hi, I'm Nathaniel, a patient and knowledgeable tutor here to help release student potential through personalised and research-based educational approaches! I have extensive experience in online tutoring, having delivered over 360 lessons to 18 students. Combining this experience with my exceptional educational attainment of 4 A*s at A Level, 10 Grade 9s at GCSE, I know the steps needed to master topics, skills and exams. Throughout my tutoring career, I've received positive feedback from both parents and pupils... Pupils have often described how I've helped them understand concepts that school lessons never could, feel more confident in the subject, become motivated to work outside of tutor sessions, and even develop new passions! Some have even reported grade increases of 20%! Parents have complimented me for my professionalism, engagement with students, and for keeping them informed about their child's progress. My experience of building rapports with a wide profile of students has also taught me to be adaptable and patient with different abilities and to accommodate anxious and struggling students

About the lesson

In my tutoring sessions, I take a gradual and methodical approach to each topic, ensuring students have ample opportunities to ask questions and engage with the material. My unique teaching style incorporates metaphors and analogies that simplify complex mathematical concepts, making them more relatable and easier to understand. Every lesson is structured with a stepwise progression, breaking down topics into manageable segments with clear learning objectives. This ensures that each hour-long session leads to tangible success and builds the student's confidence. I believe in the power of positive reinforcement and provide constructive feedback throughout the session. At the end of each lesson, I assign relevant tasks to reinforce the day's learning and solidify the student's understanding. With my approach, students not only learn maths effectively but also develop a genuine interest and appreciation for the subject.

I would whole heartedly recommend tuition from Nathaniel to anyone lucking for a tutor. I was lucky enough to have Nathaniel’s tutoring for the last year of my alevels and while I am still waiting for my results, his help made me feel confident I was the best I could be going into my exams. There is nothing more I could have asked from a tutor, he was so knowledgeable yet friendly. He always took the time to explain everything perfectly. He pushed me at the right times but I always looked forward to his sessions. It goes without saying he was also super professional and punctual. A truly talented chap with fantastic teaching techniques and a perfect personality. Anyone who is in the position to work with Nathaniel is very lucky!
