About Alex
Hello! I'm a 22 year old French and Spanish speaker living in Leeds. I have a passion for languages, and have three years of peripatetic teaching experience at a secondary school level across French, Spanish, music and the peer mentor programme.
I believe learning languages is a wonderful springboard into a world or opportunities and culture, and find the experience of opening the door to this extremely rewarding. As a student, I found the most rewarding experiences came from teachers allowing exploration of a subject through the lens of a subject of personal interest, and this is definitely something I try to provide for my students. My passion is music, with over ten years of experiencing as a gigging musician across a range of instruments. I look forward to getting to know yours!

I take a friendly and hands-on approach to my lessons, with a firm belief that the best way to learn a language is by immersion, speaking and reading as much as possible. My philosophy is that a language should be a pleasure to learn, the more naturally a student can express themselves the more they will flourish.
I'm familiar with the GCSE and A-level curriculum, having achieved A's in both, but am also happy to take on students of all ages simply wishing to learn a language.
Lessons typically last an hour, however I'm happy to organise more intensive sessions if needed.
