About Melissa
As a passionate language practitioner, I am proud to say I speak Spanish, French, Portuguese, and English fluently. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Southern California and will start graduate school at the University of Chicago in October.
I am currently volunteering with AmeriCorps as a youth developer in Washington D.C. I create lesson plans that offer social-emotional learning workshops, STEM based activities, and field trips to important landmarks of Washington D.C. to further students’ intellectual curiosity and critical thinking.
