About Alanna

My name is Alanna. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Education, Gaeilge and Religious Studies. I spent my summers in the Gaeltacht in Connemara, learning Irish firsthand. As I grew older I began working in the same summer college I learned in. Connemara really sparked my love of Irish and since then, I have been fortunate enough to visit all Gaeltacht areas in Ireland, learning of their unique culture and language styles. Upon studying Gaeilge in college, along with my education degree, I have had many opportunities to work with students and in turn pass my knowledge to them. I have also had the pleasure of helping adult learners prepare for their oral examinations in various field (resit of the leaving cert, TEG) I am very fortunate to have had these experiences and feel that they really have given me an advantage in my approach to teaching the language.

About the lesson

Students will engage in private one-to-one lessons, tailored for their individual needs. Students can be ensured a positive learning environment where they are at the heart of the learning at all times. Students will receive notes and time that will ensure they achieve their own personal best - whatever that may be. My goal is simple: give students the strategies, tools, and confidence to achieve the marks they want.
