About Ellen

I am a fluent Irish speaker with several years of experience giving grinds to Junior and Leaving Cert students. I have also worked as an Irish substitute teacher and currently work as an SNA in a school setting. I really enjoy helping students improve their Irish and build confidence in their ability. From my experience, a lack of confidence is often one of the biggest barriers for students learning Irish, particularly when preparing for exams and oral work. I love working with students to overcome this, helping them feel more comfortable with the language and achieve their goals.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to the individual needs of each student. During the first lesson, we identify strengths, weaknesses and the areas that need the most improvement. From there, I focus on helping students build confidence in their Irish while becoming familiar with the Junior and Leaving Cert exam format. Lessons are designed to strengthen key skills such as oral Irish, written work and exam technique so students can reach their full potential.
