About Sheryl

Hi! My name is Sheryl Odum, and I’m a native Spanish speaker with a strong passion for teaching and language learning. I offer Spanish lessons for all ages and levels, from beginners learning their first words to students who are familiar with the language. As someone who is fluent in both Spanish and English, I understand how to guide students through the process of learning a new language in a way that feels clear, practical, and encouraging. I often combine:

Visuals and examples to explain grammar and vocabulary

Conversation practice to improve fluency and pronunciation

Writing exercises to develop strong structure, creativity, and clear communication

Mistake correction with feedback that helps you learn without feeling discouraged

A Typical Lesson Plan Includes:
Warm-up – A short activity to review or introduce a topic (vocabulary, questions, or a quick discussion)

Main lesson – Focus on grammar, writing structure, reading, or conversation practice, depending on your goals

Practice time – Exercises, writing tasks, or speaking drills based on the day’s topic

Review and feedback – We go over any mistakes and highlight progress and areas to keep working on

Lessons can be fully in English or a mix of English and Spanish, depending on your comfort level.
