About Ryan
Call me RYAN IMMERSION. It's all about immersion in all seriousness. I was fortunate enough to have a relationship with a girl who introduced me to her Colombian family many years ago and they refused to speak with me in English (even though they all spoke it). This was how I learned. When given no other option, you'll be surprised what you achieve.
I went on to study Spanish and Portuguese at University level before going to Colombia for the second time and polishing my skills.
I absolutely didn't have a CLUE when I first started learning French and Spanish in school. Not a scooby doo.
Today, I speak Spanish with fluency and can't imagine not thinking in Spanish when I watched Latino Television, listen to Reggaeton and Salsa or talk with my Latin and Spanish friends.

My approach to teaching is a relaxed and you-focused. It's about you and where you are in your learning journey, so I cater to both beginners and more advanced speakers.
The goal is in creating a dynamic between us that you feel comfortable enough to be able to fail in. Becoming great at something means you have to fail plenty of times first, and that's okay. That's something that I want you to feel brave enough to risk doing as early on as possible as that's how you'll learn fastest. Beyond that, it's all about DOING. We'll get straight into the nitty gritty and you'll have progress to show your friends and family (and the world) nice a quickly.
I have tutored for the past 10 years, having studied Spanish formally since I was 12 years old and living in South America for a year, and like to focus mostly on the ages of 12+.
