About Seren

I’m a Welsh artist and designer who moved to Leeds for university and decided to make it my home. My passion for learning languages, combined with my background in art and design, enriches my teaching approach and creative endeavors. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy comedy performance, making music, and writing—activities that fuel my creativity and keep me engaged with diverse forms of expression. Whether it’s through art, language, or performance, I’m always excited to explore new ways of connecting with people and sharing my interests.

About the lesson

Personalised Learning Plans:
I believe that effective language learning starts with understanding the individual needs and learning styles of each student. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your existing skills, I create customised learning plans that cater to your specific goals. By using a range of teaching methods—such as interactive exercises, practical conversation practice, and engaging multimedia resources—I ensure that each lesson is both effective and enjoyable!

Lesson Structure:
Each lesson is typically one hour long, providing ample time to dive into new material while reinforcing previous knowledge. I balance structured learning with flexible, student-centered approaches, allowing us to adjust the pace and focus as needed to best support your progress. Qualifications and Experience:
With 6 years of experience as an art teacher and in coaching and workshops at college, school, and university levels, I bring a rich background in education to my Welsh teaching. My professional experience also includes translating Welsh marketing materials for a national charity, giving me a deep understanding of both the language and its practical applications.
