About Allison

I give lessons to students of all abilities, primarily ages 11 and up. I enjoy teaching beginners as much as helping more advanced, conservatory bound students. I expect a high level of commitment to practicing materials and lessons will be supplemented by study of music theory, history, and listening assignments. I promote a positive and supportive atmosphere while maintaining high standards. Repertoire and assignments are personalized based on each student.

In the past, my students have won regional soloist competitions, advanced to All-Region and All-State in Texas, and performed in studio recitals. I have been giving flute lessons for 5 years and have taught students from 5th to 12th grade.
