About Gammi

Hi :) I’m Gammi, a professional flutist and music educator based in the New York/New Jersey area!

I hold a "Master of Music from The Juilliard School" and a "Professional Performance Diploma" in Orchestral Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.

As a professional flutist, I’ve had the opportunity to perform with orchestras and chamber ensembles at amazing venues including "Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall". I love bringing my real-world performance experience into my lessons and helping students not only play the notes, but also develop a beautiful tone, musical expression, confidence, and stage presence.

I truly believe that every student learns differently. That’s why I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual goals, level, and personality.

Whether you’re picking up the flute for the very first time, playing in your school band or orchestra, preparing for a Youth Orchestra audition, or working toward music school auditions and competitions, I’m here to help you grow and enjoy the process!

Most importantly, I want my lessons to be a place where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and becoming a more confident musician.

Whether you’re learning flute just for fun or have big musical goals, I’d love to help you reach them!

Want to play K-pop? Pop songs? Jazz? Movie soundtracks? Classical music?
Bring me whatever you’re into I’ll teach you!

I’m a professional flutist based in the New York/New Jersey area, and my goal is simple: help you become a better flutist while actually having fun playing music you love.

My lessons are personalized to your goals, experience, and interests. Whether you’re picking up the flute for the first time, playing just for fun, or preparing for an audition, competition, or music school, we’ll build the lesson around YOU

*Beginners: Learn the basics without making it boring — posture, breathing, tone, technique, sight-reading, and your favorite songs!

*Intermediate/Advanced: Improve your tone, technique, musical expression, and confidence while working on the music YOU want to play.

**Want to try something different?** Jazz, K-pop, pop, movie music, Broadway, classical — **I’m down!** We can even arrange songs specifically for flute.

I hold a "Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School" and a "Professional Performance Diploma in Orchestral Flute from the Manhattan School of Music", and I’m also an active professional orchestral flutist.

Basically…you bring the music, I’ll bring the flute nerd energy lol

Flute is such a difficult instrument to learn but the way Gammi teaches it makes it so fun!! While she’s extremely knowledgeable with complex classical pieces, she’ll surprise you with how versatile and fun this instrument can be. She is so patient and will take the time to adjust teaching methods to make sure it suits each of her students! Gammi is truly a gem and understands the art of what it takes to learn flute.
