About Valentina
With 8 years of experience teaching flute to over 150 students, I am passionate about helping learners discover their musical potential. I teach all levels, focusing on both technical mastery and artistic expression.
My lessons are personalised to each student’s needs, combining exercises for breath control, finger technique, tone, and rhythm with improvisation, performance practice, and creative exploration. I also emphasise music reading and theory, helping students understand the structure behind the music they play.
One of my strengths is making challenging concepts easy to grasp while keeping lessons fun and engaging. My goal is to nurture confident, expressive flautists who enjoy every step of their musical journey and develop a lasting love for music.

I teach flute with a student-centred methodology that emphasises adaptability, collaboration, and positivity. Each student has a unique learning style, and I carefully observe and adjust my teaching approach to ensure concepts are clear, practice is effective, and lessons are engaging. I strive to make learning the flute a joyful and inspiring experience, blending technical development with creative exploration.
Flexibility allows me to tailor lessons to the student’s goals, interests, and pace. I adjust exercises, repertoire, and practice techniques to keep students challenged and motivated without feeling overwhelmed. Collaboration is integral; I encourage ensemble practice, duets, and interactive exercises that build musical sensitivity, timing, and confidence. Positivity underpins every interaction, creating a safe and supportive environment where students are motivated to try new techniques and enjoy their progress.
Alongside flute, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and rhythm exercises to provide a well-rounded musical education. My methodology nurtures both technical skill and expressive ability, empowering students to become confident, versatile musicians who appreciate the beauty of music and enjoy performing with skill and passion.
