About Zian

I am a flute tutor who enjoys guiding students on their musical journey with creativity and skill. My teaching combines mentorship, accountability, and critical thinking. I focus on tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control while encouraging self-expression. I also teach music theory, sight-reading, and ear training for complete musicianship. Creativity is emphasised through improvisation, composition, and musical storytelling. I help students set goals, practise consistently, and monitor their progress. Mistakes are treated as natural learning opportunities and a chance for growth. I adapt lessons to each student’s pace, level, and interests. I act as a mentor, offering encouragement, guidance, and constructive feedback. Lessons balance technical development with creative exploration to keep students engaged.

I emphasise reflection, problem-solving, and independent thinking in all sessions. My goal is to build confidence, independence, and a love for music in every student. I also teach related subjects such as performance skills, rhythm, and theory. I create a positive and motivating learning environment. Every lesson is designed to help students become expressive, confident, and passionate musicians.

About the lesson

I teach flute with a focus on creativity, critical thinking, and structured learning. I believe students learn best when they are curious, supported, and challenged. Each lesson is designed to help students understand music deeply while developing technical skill. I act as a mentor, guiding students to explore sound, phrasing, and rhythm. Accountability is central—I help students set goals and take responsibility for practice. Lessons include tone exercises, breath work, rhythm drills, and expressive playing. I also teach theory, sight-reading, and ear training to strengthen understanding. Creativity is encouraged through improvisation, composition, and personal interpretation.

Mistakes are seen as steps towards improvement, not failure. My teaching is flexible to suit different learning styles and skill levels. I emphasise reflection, self-evaluation, and problem-solving in each class. I provide positive feedback to build confidence and motivation. I also teach related subjects like music theory and performance skills. Each lesson is structured to balance discipline with fun. My goal is to help students develop into confident, independent, and expressive musicians.
