About Koa

I am a passionate flute tutor dedicated to helping students develop musical skill, creativity, and confidence. My teaching combines mentorship, accountability, and critical thinking. I focus on tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control, while also encouraging self-expression. Lessons include music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to strengthen overall musicianship. Creativity is an important part of my approach, with improvisation, composition, and musical storytelling included in every class. I help students set goals, stay disciplined, and track their progress. Mistakes are treated as natural learning opportunities, not setbacks.

I adapt lessons to each student’s abilities, interests, and learning style. I act as a mentor, guiding, motivating, and supporting students in every session. Lessons are structured yet engaging, combining technical work with creative exploration. I aim to build confidence, independence, and a love for music. I also teach related subjects such as performance skills, theory, and rhythm. I create a positive, encouraging, and inspiring environment for learning. I emphasize curiosity, self-reflection, and problem-solving in all lessons. My goal is to help students become expressive, confident, and lifelong learners of music.

About the lesson

My flute teaching philosophy is to combine creativity with responsibility. I believe every student learns best in a positive, engaging environment.
