About Monsi
Hello! My name is Monsi Briceno Mezquita, and I’m a professional flutist and music educator with over 15 years of teaching experience across Europe and the U.S. I’m currently completing my Artist Diploma in Flute Performance at Duquesne University (Pittsburgh, USA), graduating in May 2026. I also hold a Ph.D. in Music and an M.S. in Music from the Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain), and a Bachelor’s in Flute Performance from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castellón, where I received the End-of-Degree Honor Prize. I have performed in a wide range of settings—from classical concert halls to international tours with orchestras and theater companies—always with a deep love for expression, tone color, and connection with the audience. As a teacher, my goal is to make you feel confident, inspired, and excited to grow. My method is personalized, combining structure with creativity to adapt to your goals—whether you're a beginner or a conservatory-level musician. I teach in both English and Spanish, and my lessons can include: Flute and piccolo (all levels) Tonal and modal music theory Vocal coaching and breathwork Ear training and solfège Artistic expression and memorization techniques Let’s make music joyful, expressive, and meaningful—together!

Hi! I'm Monsi, a classically trained flutist and vocal coach from Spain with more than 15 years of experience teaching students of all ages and backgrounds. I hold degrees from top European conservatories and am currently completing my Artist Diploma in the U.S., where I also perform professionally with several ensembles and orchestras. My approach is personalized, creative, and student-centered. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced musician, I tailor each lesson to your individual needs, goals, and musical interests. My method combines solid technical foundation with musical expression and creativity—and above all, we make it fun! I offer: Flute lessons (all levels)

Vocal coaching – breathing, support, style, expression
All styles welcome: classical, folk, pop, contemporary, early music Support with auditions, conservatory prep, or just enjoying music! In my studio, I guide students through a structured yet flexible process I call “The 4 Steps to Learn a New Piece.” This method is rooted in how our brains and bodies naturally absorb music—through visual, motor, linguistic, and expressive channels—and it’s been proven effective for students of all levels and styles. I also use memorization as a creative tool—not just for performance security, but to unlock deeper expression and connection during live playing. Each lesson is tailored to your needs and can include:
Practice with backing tracks to develop style and timing
Custom warm-ups and technique builders
Theory instruction (tonal/modal), solfège, and ear training
Optional vocal coaching for flutists and singers
Singing & pitch development for instrumentalists
I teach in both English and Spanish, and my goal is always to make learning personal, progressive, and joyful.
