About Jeff
I'm a very unique individual. I've been successfully teaching and mentoring students for 17 years. The experience, book knowledge, and credentials are there. However, what makes me unique is that I'm a good warrior. With all honesty and humility, I'm a 6X Champion Boxer that still competes and trains 6 days a week. I'm a competitive athlete. In addition, I served my country as a U.S. Marine. I was Honorably Discharged in 2004. My true identity is that I'm a warrior for my Lord Jesus Christ. My motto is.....I BELIEVE in my LORD JESUS CHRIST, and I BELIEVE in me! I'm also very positive and my students enjoy my instruction! Also, if you are not Christian, I will not judge you! My goal is to help you succeed in learning your lessons.

What sets me apart as a tutor is that I have a strong passion for learning, and I'm unique in the sense that I influence my students to believe in themselves. To be successful in math, you must master the basic skills; however, more importantly, if you develop a passion for learning math and greater self-confidence you will take your learning to the next level! A typical lesson in math includes a warm-up. After my student completes the warm up, I correct his/her assignment. I then let my student know their mistakes, and I correct them. Once their weakness is determined, I teach the lesson on that subject area (example: word problems, basic multiplication, Pythagorean Theorem, etc.). I begin a guided practice in which we do the problems together. Then I assign their independent work/home work.
