About James
SCIENCE is Awesome! My teaching experience spans over 15 years in both public and private settings. They range from organizing and teaching science labs and science fairs to collaborating in art projects and STEM projects. I have also taught Pre-Algebra and Algebra, as well as elementary math. I believe in hands-on learning and value projects for their ability to learn by doing.
I believe every student can learn and everyone does it in a different way at different times.
I have also played the piano professionally for over 40 years and have served on several boards. I would love to share my enthusiasm for learning with you.

I am passionate about science and math and its application in the real world. I want my students to also share in that curiosity. My knowledge goes beyond just “book learning.” I am also a contractor on education for the City of Salem, MA. My lessons involve my students using household materials to build things like models and manipulatives that can be used as your own resource. We can build things together. Art and expression are great ways to find connections with each student.
