About Nicole
Singing is often just talking on pitch, which is a philosophy I keep in mind during our sessions. Growing up in the American South, I learned that vocal resonance comes from the body, not just the throat. My BA Folk Music from Berea College ensures I understand the nuance of genre styling and rhythm.
Usually, I work with kids or performance-focused students who need to refine their belting technique or diction. Helping people extend their vocal range safely is a major part of my 7 years of experience. Whether you need help with exam preparation or microphone technique, I offer a steady hand. Have you ever wondered how your favorite singers maintain such control over their vibrato? My approach combines academic sight singing drills with the visceral feeling of traditional folk music.
We spend time on tone and resonance to ensure your voice remains healthy throughout your career. Since I have 7 years of experience, I can troubleshoot your phrasing issues in real time.
We cover everything from musical theatre character work to pop style choices. Your progress depends on how we balance technical drills with artistic expression.
I find that learning the mechanics of your instrument is incredibly satisfying. It is great to see how students grow once they stop overthinking the notes. We make sure the sound feels as good as it looks. You will enjoy the feeling of total vocal freedom.
