Methodology

Duration : As required. - Price : $14.00 - Place : Lomita (90717)I like to first know the students learning style; this can be visual, auditory, hands-on, etc. Then, I ask the student to tell me what they have learned in their class and what they are struggling with as I review what they have already learned. I work alongside the assigned school curriculum and review teach the material. I do this by teaching from the ground and building up with imagery, powerpoint slides, note-taking, and much more. After the student has learned the material, they ask any questions they still have(as they were whiling learning the curriculum as well) and we review it together. Once the student is confident that they unerstand what I have taught them, they are to participate in activities by themselves to display their understanding to me. If the student is comfortable with it, I would also ask them to "reteach" the material to me in a brief summary. This way, I know that the material will "stick" with them. My teaching method is to work out the pronlems the student is having together so that they can do it successfully on their own.
