About Cynthia

Love tutoring because:
Hello, my name is Cynthia D. Waldon, and I am a Reading tutor and ESL teacher dedicated to helping learners build confidence and fluency in reading and the English language. I specialize in creating engaging lessons that focus on communication, cultural understanding, and practical language use. My goal is to support students at all levels in developing their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills while making the learning process enjoyable and meaningful.

Reading is my passion.

Background:
Graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a BA in Humanities and from Grand Canyon University with an MA in Elementary Education and TEFL Level 5 Certification

Experience: Reading tutor with AmeriCorps, Long-term Substitute teacher with Douglas County Board of Education, and Provisional Certified Teacher at a local neighborhood elementary school; Certified Reading Tutor with the National Tutoring Association.
