About Kyle
I have always been interested in learning languages.
After many years of practice, study, and tireless work, I have become a skilled educator in foreign language acquisition skills for French and Latin. I lived in France during my college years, and I return often to practice and improve my skills.
As a dedicated learner, I also keep myself in the classroom by studying a new foreign language all the time. Currently, I am working my way through Danish on Duolingo. I feel it is important for me to remember how it feels to be a student in order to be a better and more empathetic educator.
My goal is always to help people to speak, listen, and understand. As the saying goes, when you speak to people in their second language, you speak to their head; when you speak in their first language, you speak to their heart.
What more noble goal could there be?

First off, I like to have fun when I learn. I enjoy cracking jokes and helping others to enjoy learning a new language. It takes courage, perseverance, and a willingness to make many, many mistakes. I begin by talking to my students about their goals and we make a plan to achieve it.
I am a firm believer in the value of repetition, as learning a foreign language is a marathon, not a sprint. To avoid boring you with the rote learning, I use games and activities to keep things fresh and fun. I would like for us both to enjoy the lesson and have a laugh.
I'm open to teaching at pretty much any level in French or in Latin.
