About Laura
I am currently working as an English teaching assistant in Laval, France with children between the ages of 11-15. I adapt my lessons depending on the students level of English as I work with children with varying capabilities. We cover a wide range of topics including culture, vocabulary and grammar. The principal aim is to improve all areas of language learning; oral, comprehension and aural over a period of 7 months.
Prior to this, I worked in Poitiers, France giving private tutoring to adults as part of a company's program to help their employees improve their English language skills. By the end of my 4 month contract, each of my students had improved their English by at least one grade.

With past and current experience teaching English as a foreign language, I am well equipped to tutor individuals who would like to improve their English. As a languages graduate, I understand the challenges that learning a language can pose along the way. I also recognise that every student is different and will respond in a distinctive manner to the way in which lessons are taught. For this reason, I always take time to get to know my students and their specific needs before starting out; I adapt my lesson plans to meet these requirements.
I teach both children and adults of any level, from complete beginners to advanced-level learners. I am very flexible and open to suggestions; you know how you learn best, and if you're still unsure I can help you find out!
