I base my teaching methods upon the individual needs of each student, beginning with broad standard lessons and particularizing by the experience level of the learner. I am very patient and understanding of every learner's experience and learning perspective. I am an auditory learner myself, and generally teach music with auditory examples. However, I am open to many different approaches, as each learner is different!
I began my musical journey back in 2009 when I picked up violin. In 2012, I got my first guitar, and in 2013 I switched from violin to cello. I attended Charleston County School of the Arts for high school and studied under a truly inspiring professor, Dr. Selby. After a gap year following graduation, I briefly attended Berklee College of Music in Boston for cello. I have been offering cello tutors for beginning/intermediate students since the age of 17, and hopefully will be doing so for many more years to come!
