Former Biologist gives tutoring sessions to those of all ages studying basic math and science

Methodology

As hands on as possible given remote learning. Kind, gentle, and direct to ensure students understand the material while not making them feel incompetent. Shaming doesn't breed results in my experience. Students bring their studies to me and I provide them with the insight and tools they need to succeed, I do not create assignments, although I do try to make it fun.

Background

I am a former Biologist with a degree in both Conservation Biology and a minor in Anthropology. Although I have no formal tutor training, I enjoyed being a part of various study groups and working with others. I am also working as a recovery and wellness coach and empowering others to learn and grow is in my DNA.
