Hi! I’m Gabriel, a former Bloomberg software engineer with a strong academic background in economics and computer science. Before working in tech, I taught music in high school and worked as a peer tutor throughout university, this gave me a deep appreciation for clear communication and patient, structured teaching. Across all my roles—teacher, student mentor, and engineer—I’ve learned how to break complicated topics into simple, approachable ideas. I believe that the best tutors don’t just give answers; they help students build the confidence and problem-solving skills to find those answers on their own. I teach by breaking complex ideas into simple, intuitive steps and showing students how to think through problems—not just memorize solutions. I love to break down complex topics into easily digestible real-world scenarios. I find that this helps to build an intuition of the concept before diving into technical details.
A typical session includes a quick check-in, a clear explanation of the topic, guided problem-solving, and a brief recap with action steps. Lessons adapt to each student’s pace and goals.
What sets me apart is my mix of real engineering experience, strong math/CS fundamentals, and a teaching style that makes difficult concepts click quickly.
