About Javier
I have been a swim instructor for 3 years (since June 2016). I have taught well over 100+ students in private and/or semi-private lessons (1-2 students per class). I have a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton. I am employed through two swim schools and I have multiple 5-star reviews on Yelp.

As a swim instructor, honesty, discipline, creativity, and empathy play a significant role in my methodology. The ability to be adaptable, yet patient and persistent are also pertinent character traits in my approach. My development of lesson plans are tailored to progress different types of individuals according to their skill set. Structured, yet adaptable activities must be tailored to the students' current ability level in order for them to succeed, but at the same time be challenging enough for them to progress. Fortunately, my reflections from my teaching experience and education have ingrained good habits of instruction by adhering to reliable principles of coaching and anatomical/physiological knowledge which make each swim lesson a positive one.
