I’m a former elementary special education teacher and case manager, certified to teach students in grades EC–6, with extensive experience supporting students with autism, ADHD, learning differences, and behavioral needs. I provide structured, individualized tutoring in math, reading, science, and social skills, with sessions tailored to each student’s strengths, goals, and learning profile. I offer online tutoring and in-person sessions by request in the DFW area, and I specialize in IEP-aligned support, behavior strategies, and social-emotional learning. My goal is to help students gain confidence, independence, and long-term learning skills in a patient and supportive environment.

About Me & My Lessons

Finding the right tutor for your child can feel overwhelming—especially when your child learns differently or needs extra support. As a former elementary special education teacher and case manager, I help EC–6 students build confidence, skills, and independence through structured, supportive tutoring. I offer online tutoring, with in-person sessions available by request in the DFW area.

I am EC–6 certified and experienced in working with students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, speech and communication disorders, and behavioral needs. My tutoring sessions are highly individualized and designed around each child’s strengths, goals, and learning profile, including IEP-aligned support when applicable.

I use evidence-based, data-driven instruction with clear modeling, visual supports, and guided practice. Lessons may include elementary math, reading, science, and social skills, along with behavioral and social-emotional supports when needed. Each session follows a consistent routine to help students feel safe, focused, and successful.

What sets me apart is my background in special education case management. I managed a 24-student caseload, wrote and implemented IEPs, led ARD and BIP meetings, tracked academic and behavioral data, and provided both inclusion and pull-out interventions. This experience allows me to support not just academic growth, but the learning, behavioral, and functional needs of each child.

My tutoring services are ideal for families seeking a patient and experienced elementary tutor who understands learning differences and provides individualized support online or in-person in the DFW area.

Details

In-person tutoring includes a $10 travel fee for students within 10 miles of my location in the DFW area. For locations beyond 10 miles, an additional $1 per mile will apply. This ensures I can provide safe, timely, and personalized in-home tutoring sessions.
