Student-centered to build understanding and confidence depending on individual learning style and goals. Techniques include: active learning, scaffolding, real-world connections, feedback, practice, and reinforcement. A lesson plan will go from warm-up, introduction, guided practice, independent practice, to review and reflection until the student feels comfortable.
As an English and writing tutor, I help students not only improve academically but also believe in their abilities. I believe and pride myself in being able to create a learning environment where students feel safe to grow while making mistakes.
