About Pierre
Fascinated since youth by psychology, sociology and political science, it is by studying Philosophy in college that I was able to work on all these disciplines at the same time. During my Masters, I wrote a thesis on new private management, which analyzes its discourse, its logic and its history, and seeks to understand what concrete changes accompany it.
Having obtained an excellent grade, I felt the need to get out of the academic field and turn to writing articles as a freelancer, in order to be stay close to the concrete questions I was studying.
Through my background, I am therefore able to accompany you on some of the stages of your writing, whether on the form or on the content. I can help you better understand a classic author and their importance without behaving as if it were a Holy Word - help you write a better essay or article by taking the time to understand and patiently address your difficulties - support you in your need to develop a satisfactory argument to overcome a theoretical problem that bothers... or obsesses you.
Gradually moving away from research work today, it is a pleasure for me to push down the ladder.
See you soon !

I offer three types of courses.
- A course in writing, reading and argumentation methods. In it, ask the student what they want to improve in their writing, or suggest ways to improve from a text they give to me. Then, I recommend exercises that correspond to this request (for example, writing a paragraph which uses an author to defend a personal position, or even writing a paragraph faithfully explaining the position of someone with whom the student is in disagreement).
This course is mainly aimed at high school students, but can be useful for undergraduate students. It is also available for young journalists / freelancers.
- A course studying an author or a corpus of texts.
In this course, it is initially a question of working with the student to develop an overall vision of the author's thought or of the problem explored in the corpus. This overall vision is corss-analyzed with historical knowledge, then social, psychological, political, economic and historical inputs...
This type of course can be done in 4 to 8 sessions. It will first be a question of studying a selection of texts from the author or in the corpus (chosen by me or by the student, according to preference) then to study the history of these texts and finally to thematize the global approach(es) of the author / of the problem studied.
Then, a free essay can be written on the relation of this approach to other activities or fields of study by the student. The last session will be a constructive and critical feedback on this essay.
This is a course aimed at undergraduate or graduate students, of whatever discipline. It is an opportunity to reflect in depth on their subject of study and to develop their own idea about it's leading figures / issues.
- Finally, I offer a course of interdisciplinary exploration. This course is for anyone looking to make sense of the relationship between concepts that he or she cannot articulate; for example, the notion of "structure" and that of "indeterminism";. Together, we work out what makes these notions so difficult to articulate together, and we work on how to solve this problem. The student and I then have the mission of looking for answers to this question, and we go to the library, to a conference or on a digital expedition to achieve this.
This course is a collaborative research process, which can improve skills in navigating and selecting relevant archives. In particular, it will broaden the student's theoretical perspectives. As such, my aim as a professor is to accompany and supervise this research work.
It is suitable for L3 students preparing to enter the research phases of Master-grade studies, or Masters students looking to boost their work.
It is also open to anyone wishing to benefit from assistance or supervision in their independent research.
