About Robert
I am a former high school teacher with nearly two decades of teaching experience. I have also earned a PhD in United States history. A former athlete and coach, I believe in showing up on time and giving your all when you commit to a difficult challenge. I am tough but fair and will push you to new heights if you are willing to work hard.

I have nearly two decades of experience of teaching history and have developed a deep subject matter expertise in United States history. I begin by helping students develop a mastery of basic concepts and help them develop the analytical writing and critical thinking skills that lead them to excelling on the AP and IB exams.
Warm but demanding, I have the ability to make history feel alive and exciting. After diagnosing strengths and weaknesses of the student, I develop a long-term growth strategy that leads to increased confidence and capacity in the classroom.
