About Abdul
I worked as a Kumon Instructor for over 2 years, but I spent the 5 years prior to that as a Kumon student, tackling concepts well beyond my grade level.
These two pieces of experience - as both a student and teacher - offer me a unique position that allows me to teach while recognizing the needs of a student.
The most crucial of these needs, I’ve learned over the years, is for a student to become capable of being their own teacher; a student who can recognize and fix any flaws in their understanding goes a long way further than one who is dependent on a teacher for such.

I offer tutoring in math and sciences up to and including the university level.
When I was an Instructor at Kumon, I exercised two main principles with all my students: repetition and independence. I use examples and guided questions instead of merely ‘talking at’ a student, so they can develop a deeper understanding in a more independent manner than they could under a schoolteacher.
As a tutor, I bring these same principles to the table, and my students seem to appreciate them (see reviews)

Stop scrolling. Abdul is hands down the best tutor my daughter has ever had! He makes learning fun and I strongly recommend him.
I believe Abdul is extremely trust worthy and would make a great teacher because of his patience, kindness, and empathy. He doesn’t rush students and allows them to ask as many questions they need for them to understand a concept. He effectively breaks down these concepts and if you do not understand after his breakdown, he will gladly put it into simpler terms to accommodate his students.
