About Mary
I know that learning can feel frustrating at times, but it doesn’t have to stay that way. I’m a patient and encouraging tutor with a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Physics from Stony Brook University. I focus on helping you truly understand the material—not just memorize it. Together, we’ll figure out where things aren’t clicking and build your skills step by step so you can feel confident in class and during tests. My goal is to make learning less stressful and more rewarding, so you can see your own progress and feel proud of what your student can accomplish. I also work with students who have learning disabilities or face challenges with focus, processing, or anxiety. Every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand how you learn best. I try to use clear explanations, visual aids, repetition, and step-by-step guidance to make difficult concepts easier to grasp. My goal is to help your student feel comfortable, capable, and supported while building confidence in at in their own learning process. With patience and encouragement, I help students recognize their strengths and discover that they are more capable than they realize.

Use test-taking and study strategies to help students feel calm and prepared.
Integrate related subjects (like math and science together) to strengthen overall comprehension and build a stronger foundation.
