About Catherine
From reporting to the UK on the 9/11 terrorist attacks, to lecturing undergraduates studying Journalism, I am an expert in my field. I have over 22 years experience on the frontline of reporting for UK television, radio and online platforms, both nationally and internationally.
I am an experienced presenter, reporter and producer. I now use that knowledge and experience to teach graduates and under graduates who are aiming to be the next generation of Journalists.
My students learn practical aspects of the subject, such as writing, news gathering, and presenting, through to academic understanding of the media.
I have an M.A degree in Journalism ( Distinction), a postgraduate diploma in radio and television journalism and a first degree in English and American Literature.

We work together to build your confidence alongside your knowledge and ensure you feel secure in the knowledge you are gaining.
I provide slides, worksheets, workbooks and other learning tools to ensure your lesson is engaging as well as informative.
Don't expect the lessons to be dry and dull, I am dynamic and passionate about my subject and always bring it to life, with activities and engaging tasks.
I specialise in vocal work, such as presenting and broadcasting, public speaking and going live on screen.
I cover all aspects of media studies and Journalism, from law to news gathering.
